50% Reduction in Anti-Social Behaviour Using Body Cameras

Safer North West Leicestershire Partnership, door staff in Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Coalville will be equipped with VideoBadge cameras.

In a scheme organised by the Safer North West Leicestershire Partnership, door staff in Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Coalville will be equipped with VideoBadge cameras.

During the festive season drunken and anti-social behaviour is a serious problem faced by licensed venues across the country. Door staff are subjected to physical and verbal attacks on a regular basis. The body cameras help to deter bad behaviour and increase safety for staff and customers alike.

VideoBadge is a compact and robust camera, which operates in bright and low-light conditions, making it ideally suited to door staff in nightclubs and bars.

A similar project in Melton Mowbray saw a reduction of 50% in anti-social behaviour over the course of a year.
